Smartway is a company that fights against food waste. They have developed software for food waste management. Following the event of Covid19, the company started to implement a remote working policy for its collaborators in 2021. While the transition seemed to have worked well, Smartway realized that its employees were starting to feel disconnect from the company as a whole. Hence, Smartway was looking for a meaningful way to engage with its employees to maintain feelings of belonging.
SmartWay decided to start its quest for renewing links with its employees by gifting them special NFTs on their birthdays. They though that sending token of appreciation on their employees special day was an effective way to show that the company care about their position in the company. “Sending NFTs to whish happy birthday was very adapted to our situation because the gift meant to our employees that they were not forgotten among the company. Working remotely can sometimes make workers feel isolated in the company.”
