Tado is a German company that specializes in climate management technology. They are the leader of the market in Europe, and they offer a large range of product such as smart thermostats, temperature sensors and AC controllers. Tado differentiates itself not only by its easy to install starter kit, but also by the quality of its customer support. But, working in customer support isn’t an easy job, and Tado has difficulties retaining its collaborators. Hence, they are always trying to improve the experience of employees working in customer support.
Working in Tado’s customer support necessitates a 1 week formation to be able to integrate the support team. This formation is long and tedious, so Tado wants to welcome their new employee with a personalized NFT once they complete the formation and officially join the company. Tado wants its employees’ first day to start with an inspiring NFT that will make them feel welcome and desired among their team.

After manually conducting a first test with the promotion of January 2022, Tado’s HR team decided to integrate the AirGift solution to distribute the NFTS during the onboarding process. On their first day, when the employees access for first time their professional email box, they receive a personalized email with the link to retrieve the NFT. “Airgift API documentation was straightforward, and our IT team only spent a few hours to integrate it to our onboarding process”.
After a couple months, Tado HR team received many positive feedbacks from new employees about this small gesture, and the project had a good PR exposure, improving Tado’s image as an employer. They are thinking to enlarge this initiative to all onboarding of the company. “What we like with AirGift solution was that even though employees were receiving the email on their professional email, they could create an AirPocket wallet and retrieve the NFT with their personal address. It is a huge difference because it means that they literally own the NFT and they can keep it for life if they desire to. It is a much more impactful then if the NFT was in their possession only during their time at Tado.”
